I'm a Principal UX Designer at Kindle, where we're building the world's best sanctuary for curious minds. Mostly, I make systems: information architectures, design frameworks, internal tools that help others grow, experiment, and ship great experiences faster—and prototypes just to see what's possible.
My deepest love is for systems thinking. A system answers one question: does this still make sense? But it answers it at every level: ask it at the most abstract level, when creating an information architecture so forty teams's experiences feel like one product. Ask it when you're deep in the weeds of an easing curves for an on-tap reaction, where a single transition either reinforces the mental model or subtly breaks it. If it doesn't feel right, that's because it isn't; craft is an expression of the structure that supports it. The details of a design are a reflection of the strategy.
